Total’s Praise for the Uganda Community Development Training Program
In 2024, Sunmaker has made significant strides in the community development service sector, growing from scratch to establishing a solid foothold. Notably, the company established its brand presence in Uganda’s market, successfully building its brand reputation. Recently, the Training Division of the Uganda branch shared exciting news: the community development program Sunmaker for Total received high praise from both the community’s clients and Uganda’s relevant competent authorities.
On October 16th, the training division distributed nearly 10,000 income-generating starter packs to over 800 trainees across 12 programs at the conclusion of the commemorative ceremony for land acquisition and resettlement, held at the Kibambura sports field in Bullisa. The China Business Acquisition Division of Sunmaker oversaw the entire process, ensuring that quality was prioritized. As a result, the high-quality products, made in China, earned a positive reputation for the country.
Both New Vision and Daily Monitor, two leading media outlets in Uganda, covered and reported on the event. Additionally, the Uganda branch of Total published a series of articles on its official page highlighting the program. Philippe Groueix, General Manager of the Energy Exploration & Production sector, presented an award titled “Localization Prominent Contribution” in recognition of the achievement in person.
Phiona Pnyamutoro, Minister of State for Mines Development of Uganda, also highly praised the “China-made” materials.
Moving forward, the Uganda branch will remain dedicated to leveraging its advantage in localization training and establishing a prominent brand, with the goal of further extending the reach of Sunmaker and supporting the development of Uganda and its oil industry. These efforts will contribute to the high-quality development strategy promoted by the Belt and Road Initiative and open a new chapter for the China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era.
